Jerusha Malaer
Owner, Administrator
Welcome to Malaer Legal Nurse Consulting. Robert and I created this company together in 2015. We make an excellent team with his medical experience combined with my marketing experience. My extensive marketing career in the senior living industry ranged from community level to corporate level. I was the Director of Marketing overseeing approximately 25 senior retirement and assisted living communities across America, Canada, Hawaii. I was also the Director of Resident Enrichment overseeing 350 senior retirement communities, also internationally, which consisted of 35,000 seniors and 10,000 employees.
Today, I contribute as office administration focusing on financials, marketing and assisting our hand-selected team of nurses. Most of our marketing efforts have been taken over by attorney referrals. We have humbly expanded nationwide, as well as internationally. Our client/attorney referrals are the greatest complements of all as we continue to grow with more clients weekly. Since our legal nurse business continues to grow on its own, I decided to start another adventure as well as legal nursing.
Several years ago, I became a licensed real estate broker and created my own real estate company, Senior Nation Real Estate Group, with Windermere Willamette Valley. I am a certified senior real estate specialist. I specialize in assisting senior citizens in home selling and transitioning into retirement communities or downsizing. I have achieved top broker in our office, top 1% company-wide and top15% nationally. It is a joy to serve seniors again in addition to my duties with MLNC.
On a personal level, one of my hobbies and passions consists of serving abroad. My first trip overseas was as an exchange student in Bavaria, Germany. While living there, I learned the language rather quickly and so loved the people.
I then decided to attend a bible school in Hawaii, Youth With A Mission and soon became a Christian missionary serving three months alongside the American Red Cross after the 1995 Kobe, Japan earthquake. I learned Japanese rather quickly while being emersed in tragedy. Part of my tasks was to make miso soup daily in a makeshift kitchen as we served hundreds daily.
I also served two years in a row in Ethiopia, Africa as a medical missionary, assisting doctors in dental as well as organizing triage. Due to hundreds of patients needing care daily, I also learned some of their Oromo language assisted in translating for the doctors.
Finally, I served as a medical missionary in the Brazilian Amazon for a month serving beautiful people along the riverside. Today, we humbly assist a family who are helping refugees fleeing into Uganda. Uganda might be on the serving-in-person list one day.
My second hobby is music. I have recorded two albums, one as a duo with my father. It’s all inspirational music. The albums didn’t go anywhere in the states, however my father’s duo album played on air in Dublin, Ireland on Route 66 radio, and my album played on Whiskey Blues radio in Spain. It was a small but fun accomplishment. Check out “Jerusha-Lee, 30 Year’s In the Makin’” and “Jerusha Lee, Mechanic’s Daughter.”
